How automatic calorimeter works?

Fully automatic calorimeters are advanced laboratory instruments designed to measure the energy (heat) value of various sample types with high accuracy. The measurement process is carried out through the following standard steps without any user intervention:

  • Controlled Combustion: The sample is burned in a controlled manner within a pressure-resistant analysis chamber under a pure oxygen atmosphere.
  • Temperature Monitoring: The heat released during combustion raises the temperature of the water surrounding the analysis chamber. By tracking this temperature change, the device automatically calculates the sample's energy value.
  • Process Automation: The device executes water filling and draining, oxygen management, lid opening-closing operations, and ignition stages entirely under its own control.

This advanced automation system standardizes the measurement process, making it safe and highly reproducible (RSD), while minimizing operator workload and elevating your laboratory operations to the next level.
