High-Precision Calorimeter
A bomb calorimeter is a laboratory instrument that measures the heat of combustion — the calorific value — of solid and liquid fuels (coal, coke, petrochemicals, biomass, food) with high accuracy. The sample is burned inside an oxygen-filled bomb, and the released heat is calculated from the temperature rise of the surrounding water. Debye Technic bomb calorimeters operate on the isoperibol principle and comply with ISO 1928, ASTM D5865 and DIN 51900.

It measures the heat of combustion, the calorific (heating) value, of solid and liquid fuels such as coal, coke, petrochemicals, food and biomass.
It is a measurement mode in which the outer jacket temperature is kept constant, providing high repeatability. Debye Technic bomb calorimeters operate on the isoperibol principle.
In the fully automatic IC 340, oxygen filling and degasification are also automated; in the IC 320 these steps are manual. Both offer the same measurement precision.
They comply with international standards including ISO 1928, ASTM D5865 and DIN 51900.
